Charlie's conquest Colleen wishes him dead for not reciprocating her declaration of love. Alan calls him a misogynist for implicitly counseling Jake not to commit to his bed-partners. Charlie discusses his attitude to women with Rose, who suggests the psychological root cause is his mother.
