NCIS Season 6 Episode 3

Lieutenant commander Carrie McLellan, a US Navy legislative attaché, is found murdered. Senator Patrick Kiley admits to Desert Storm friend Gibbs that he was her lover, his wife states she knew about their affair. They want the press kept in the dark until the Senate vote on Kiley's energy bill, and suggest the oil lobbyist Reed Talbot set the senator up. Another suspect is Kiley's devoted chief of staff Cole Erickson, but he is later found suffocated with a printed suicide note.
