Gibbs refuses to select a replacement for DiNozzo, who has to serve three more months aboard the USS Seahawk. On board, the information systems officer Lt. Chad Evans has jumped ship at Cartagena (Colombia) after getting the couple deep into debt. In Washington, D.C., his wife Lindy Evans is killed by an object in the head and mutilated posthumously. DiNozzo traces Evans' credit card and finds his corps, killed the same way as Lindy, but someone assumed his identity to board the Seahawk, but how did he pass the checks? The field team joins Tony. McGee discovers Evans' well-protected computer still communicates with Singapore, about the antibiotic against Anthrax.
