Gibbs sends 'Proby' McGee to check MIT graduated Defence employee Erin Kendall's claim she saw her neighbor sailor strangled in neighbor salesman Robert J. Thorne's apartment, the video she made 'just after' shows nothing; local police detective Curtis Floyd disbelieves her, having found no traces, but her nerd literature convinces Proby's gut. Indeed a print is found of missing petty officer Keith Dillon (single, 32), drug-clean human urine suggests he died there. The convertible sofa contains a detachable sniper pistol and chemicals; Thorne was an alias. DiNizzo finds Dillon has a girlfriend, Jill Meyers, with a yeast infection and a husband in tour in Iraq. Then Floyd finds Dillon, strangled with an electrical cord, in a dumpster staged as a robbery. Erin gets closer with McGee during his stake-out but then other crimes enter the plot, including a new one...
